About Ruck Chicago

Ruck Chicago was created by Elizabeth Diaz and Sean Schmeske in 2017. Our event is a 22 mile ruck/walk to raise awareness for PTSD and Veteran suicide! 22 veterans a day commit suicide due to their PTSD and the struggles of returning to the civilian life style. This is an epidemic happening all over our country and unless we as American people join together to raise awareness and let these heroes know that they are NOT ALONE, these numbers will never change. This is why we have partnered up with K9s for Veterans NFP to BE THE CHANGE!!

K9s for Veterans is a NFP that provides service dogs to veterans with PTSD. These service dogs are brought in by president Micheal Tellerino and his amazing team. They are trained specifically to each veterans needs. Also part of the program is that each dog comes with a lifetime of food and medical treatment completely covered by the organization so that there is no financial burden on the Veteran!

So please take a moment and look over our donation page and remember that every penny donated goes directly to helping our veterans!! NO dollar amount is too small and I sincerly thank everyone from the bottom of my heart!!
